API 5l Sour Service Pipe is a type of pipe that is used in sour environments under the American Petroleum Institute standard belonging to the grade 5L. Multi Metals (India) is a leading manufacturer and supplier of the API 5l X65 Sour Service Pipe types in various dimensions, shapes and finishes. These are seamless pipes and can be hot rolled in production. The pipes could be delivered in rolled, normalizing rolled, thermodynamically rolled or formed conditions. The API 5l Grade B Sour Service Pipe comes in nominal bore sizes ranging from 3/8 inches to 30 inches.

There are deviating wall thicknesses and the schedules range from sch20 through XXS or heavier. The wall thickness can range up to 250mm depending on the schedule of the pipe. As these are carbon steel pipes, they need not to be welded under low temperatures. However, preheating and filler materials could be added for ease of welding. The API 5l Sour Service Pipe Price is determined by the wall thickness, schedule and the diameter of the pipes. There are different pipe end types such as plain end, beveled end and coupling types. We also provide epoxy coating, color paint and 3LPE coating for the API 5l Sour Service Line Pipes.

The pipes can vary in length from single, random, double random to custom cut to lengths up to 13m. The sour service pipes are also tested under NACE standards. The pipes can be expanded, drawn, machined or sand blasted as value added services. The API 5l L245 Ssc Pipe is mostly used in H2S prone environment where the freeform hydrogen can cause reactions with the interior of the pipe and weaken it to ultimately resulting in cracking.
