A106 Grade B Seamless Pipe is suitable for high temperature services. The specification is for seamless carbon steel pipes that can support flanging, bending and other forming operations. The ASTM A106 Gr B Sch 40 comes with good corrosion resistance and strength properties. The minimum tensile strength of the pipes is 48ksi and the minimum yield strength is 30ksi. These pipes can be welded with most conventional methods. Since the temperature capacity is high, no preheating or post weld heat treatment is required for these pipes for welding. The ASTM A106 Grade B Pipe ranges in diameter from ¼ inches through 30 inches in diameter with schedules ranging from sch20 through XXH. The wall thickness of the A106 Pipe can range from 2 inches to 4 inches in different diameters of the pipes.

Due to the high temperature capacities of the pipes, the Seamless Pipe ASTM A106 Grade B is used in oil and gas refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, boilers and power plants.
