ASTM A182 F316L Flanges are made up of carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, chromium, molybdenum, nickel and nitrogen in the composition. The carbon content is limited to 0.03% of the total composition. All flanges connect the piping components together and extend the connection but the SS 316L Blind Flange which closes the connection.
