EN 10084 Grade 16MnCr5 Pipes and Tubes are made up of a case hardening steel with good hardness and good toughness. The EN 10084 Pipes and Tubes Specification can cover steels with high nickel and chromium content in the low carbon alloy groups. It has very good corrosion resistance and wall thickness up to 20mm. The material also has high strength of 550MPa minimum tensile strength and 420MPa minimum yield strength. There are ERW, EFW, fabricated and EN 10084 Grade C10R/C16E Carbon Steel Seamless Pipes in different forms such as round, square, rectangular and hydraulic pipes. The material has less carbon with relatively high manganese which makes it better for forming. The pipes can be welded with filler materials and preheating.
To avoid welding cracks, the Carbon Steel EN 10084 Pipe can be post weld heat treatment. The material is cost effective and can be used in high corrosive and high heat applications such as boiler tubes, heat exchangers, petrochemicals and in oil and gas industrial applications along with structural applications.
