The material might develop cold cracking. To avoid cold cracking on the S690QL1 High Strength Steel Plates they can be preheated to appropriate temperatures for different grades and thicknesses ranging from 30mm to 130mm from 75 degrees Celsius to 150 degrees Celsius.
