JIS G3461 Carbon Steel Tubes are used mostly in high temperature applications such as heat exchangers and boilers. There are different grades such as STB 340, 410 and 510. The JIS G3461 Grade STB 340 Carbon Steel Seamless Tubes have 340MPa minimum tensile strength and 175MPa minimum yield strength. The outer diameters range up to 20mm. The material is composed of carbon silicon, manganese phosphorus and sulfur. The carbon content is at 0.18% of the total composition.
The tubes can be annealed, normalized or tempered to increase the hardness. These heat treatment methods can differ from grade to grade.
